Welcome to the Official Clewell Family Website

On October 5, 1737, a twice-widowed mother

and her two fatherless, young sons

arrived friendless and penniless in an unfamiliar land.

Their lives could have ended in a whisper,

but because of their courage, strength,

and faith in the providence of God, our ancestors proudly forged

their "chapter" in the history of this great Nation.

arrived in America?
